Warming “to hit south-east Asia hard”
South-east Asia – especially Vietnam -- will be hit particularly hard by climate change, causing the region’s economies to contract by as much as 6.7% a year by the end of the century, the Associated Press reported, citing a study by the Asian Development Bank. The region depends heavily on rice and other agriculture products, which could suffer from water shortages as well as floods.
